I really like this place and is one of my favorites whenever in chicago. service can be a little hit and miss too time, but eating is usually very good. there are seats inside and outside. try and visit them early to the breakfast and enjoy an obstsalat and croissant.
There can be a wait because of the location, but the food was really good. We got the tomato avocado omelet and the Dutch pancakes. The pancakes were excellent. So was the omelet. For the omelet I was expecting tomato slices but it arrived with a tomato sauce. At first I was like, really?? , but the sauce was amazing. We were both very happy. We finished our meal with a lemon tart. It was the perfect balance of sweet and tart.
If you’re looking for an organic place, here you are. Unfortunately, we don’t have that many organic restaurants and I’m glad I found this one. It is great to stop by for breakfast or lunch. I’ve had a grilled chicken &smoked mozzarella melt and smoked salmon salad. Chocolate mousse cake is my favorite at this place from the dessert list. Oh,la,la.
A Clean, Relaxing Friendly atmosphere. A polite and cheerful hostess Dorothy . Hard working crew members. Delicious and healthy food selections especially the breads. Keeps clean bathroom. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The bakery is excellent, other stuff, not so much. The variety and quality of coffee served is just disappointing for a French impression. The waiting staff have not been quite up to the task not attentive enough and shockingly below average knowledge of coffee (I’m no expert but do know what different roasts are and if you serve them. The French donuts, however, make you wanna go back!
