Maison Parisienne French Cafe - Chicago

The pastries at this restaurant are delicious, but the atmosphere and service feel impersonal. Everything is separated from the customers by plexiglass, and they do not accept cash.

Maison Parisienne has been a staple for my wife and I on the weekends when we’re looking for a light breakfast or brunch. We’re big fans of the quiche, but never visit without ordering a tartine, a delicious baguette topped with marinated avocado, egg, and other accouchement. They also have a delightful patio out back, plus they deliver! Would definitely recommend trying any of their locations whether you’re visiting Chicago or are a long-time native!

Bad experience here. Service was bad, the patio was not open for some reason in the middle of June, the croissants were way overpriced, and the iced coffee did not even come with ice and tasted like watered down milk. Waited 15 minutes for 2 croissants to be put into a brown paper bag too

Popped into this coffee shop today really clean, kind of French vibe going on. Super cute with its little decorations. Service was on point, they've got their game sorted.Just a heads up, they're not into cash, only cards. Apart from that, it's a nice spot. Recommend it for sure.

My wife and I had brunch at Maison Parisienne on Clark (near Wrightwood) this past Saturday. The food was fantastic - we both enjoyed the salade maison with dijon dressing, my wife loved her dagobert and almond croissant, and I thought my quiche lorraine and raisin swirl pastry were delicious. However, I was disappointed to find out that coffee refills were not included and that I had to go back to the counter to order and pay for a second cup. Additionally, I was not a fan of the 3% service charge added to the bill, which can be removed upon request. While I didn't ask for it to be removed, I personally found it unnecessary and felt like it was just a way for the restaurant to make more money. Despite the great food and decent service, these minor inconveniences might prevent us from returning anytime soon. I did leave a 20% tip on the prix fixe meal, but not on the coffee refill.
