Mansion On Rush - Chicago

My husband and I purchased tickets on Eventbrite for an event advertised as “sushi and house music” on August 28, 2022. Since it was my birthday and we had been wanting to try out this venue, we thought it would be a great evening. However, upon our arrival, we were informed that the “sushi and house music” event was not valid. The staff member said, “We don’t honor those. I don’t understand why they put that out there.” We were also told there was another party happening and that there would be a cover charge to enter. It’s incredibly frustrating that they would use this advertisement on Eventbrite to attract guests, only to not honor what they promoted. This is poor business practice, in my opinion.

One thing to note is that they don’t have a drinks menu, so make sure you know what you want when ordering. The atmosphere is cozy—the lighting pairs perfectly with the music, and the layout is well-thought-out, allowing plenty of space to both dance and socialize. I recommend coming with a group of three or more for the best experience. The place has another area, so I can imagine it gets really lively when it’s packed. For me to give it a five-star rating, the parking situation would need improvement. Aside from that, I'm really enjoying the vibe here!

There's really nothing worthwhile at this place. I would describe this lackluster establishment (if you can even call it that) as lacking in service, drinks, and music. It feels like they just hired a family member to DJ. I wish I could give negative stars, but that's not an option. Save your time and energy—this place is a scam! It's a complete disaster and outdated. I can’t believe I spent $64 here!

Went for what I believed were private promoted parties one during the week they had rolls of tissue on the sink to dry your hands with while selling $500 plus bottles and it was packed. The vibe and DJ’s were amazing but for how much you spend on drinks 2 just tequila and a mixer over $50 can I get towels to dry my hands. Then they have no real hostess. I haven’t been downtown, up north or even in my neighborhood the west loop and a hostess stand not have a charging station where you can get a little charge to call your Uber. Went again on a Sunday afternoon for what I guess was supposed to be a day party it was 20 of us in there and drinks were still over priced I won’t be back. Hope they enjoy that $400 they got out of me because never again.

Had a reservation 4/9/2022, the place was closed. After having the reservation confirmed Thursday. It was restaurant week so everything around there was sold out. Got dressed, paid for parking hotel room.
