Munchies Gyros Pizza - Chicago

I spent $24 on two gyros, a side of fries, and a soda. The portions were enormous and settled in our stomachs wonderfully. Everything was absolutely delicious. Even the fountain soda was pleasantly sweet. I give it 5 stars!

The restaurant earned a 4-star rating for its atmosphere, primarily because the tables were a bit sticky—not in an unpleasant way, just that they could use a more thorough cleaning. Also, we visited during the second day of a heat wave, which might have contributed to the stickiness. However, the food was excellent—much better than during our last visit three years ago.

I have been going to Munchies for years. Munchies is my go-to. Read on: Munchies is my go-to. My most visited in the city of Chicago. They serve a giant selection of different compositions. I traditionally get a gyro sandwich plate (gyro, pita, fries, drink) and a slice of pizza. Their double cheeseburger with bacon is well made but a little tough to maneuver, and have found better success going with a standard double. Their pizza is warming. Good hot dogs, and make sure to ask for sports peppers. Fountain soda. RC Cola. Soup. Another review mentions their TV, and it truly is a nostalgic feeling. Sitting around enjoying some time and munchies while the 5 o'clock news plays in the background. Happy dine-in and happy dine-in out. There is usually a free table outside. They are busy, professional, and superbly friendly. The only letdown I have ever faced was no pizza availability. Took em' 25 minutes to make dinner at 8:00pm because everything was cooked and prepped fresh. 10/10 service for 10/10 Munchies. Still reading? The rising cost of living is real. We are faced with a struggle of slaving away so that we can make enough mulah to keep our bellies full. Feels even McDonald's is costing $10+ per person. Munchies costs a proper amount in the ever increasing costs of living.
