Honestly the pictures looked better than it tasted.Upon entering you see the sign for cash only- no biggie. Fine with me.When you walk in no one is at the front, you’re not greeted.You get your blue tray place your bread and walk to the front. After a few minutes a women comes- no greeting whatsoever.She rings us up and in Spanish states $10.07.Compared to Mexican bread in Cali the price was great for all the bread we got.I know I’m spoiled southern Cali girl here but if you’re ever in San Diego- Panchita’s bakery is a must.The taste of the bread I give it a 7/10Service 1/10.
I absolutely adore the sweet potatoes, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, and churros at this restaurant.
I understand that we are currently experiencing inflation, but reducing the size of the bread and selling it as the usual size is not a good business practice. The menu options are also very limited. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.
This is the best bakery in Chicago. I have been going there since I was a child and I am now 33 years old.
