Rubi's At The New Maxwell Street Market

Must try the Oaxaca tamales at Mi Tia tamales. A fresh made tortilla is the best. I will never eat tortilla out of a package again.

The vendors here are excellent, and I definitely recommend visiting. However, the management could use some improvement. If you're considering a trip, you might want to drive out to Wolff's Flea Market at the Allstate Arena instead, where there's free parking.

This place has more food vendors it seems these days, and most are Mexican food. It is a wonderful place to have a meal on a closed down street outside. Tamales Oaxaqueños are bigger than average tamales and in a banana wrap. It was such a delicious meal. Check this place out for fantastic food.

Cool market to check out. I’ve heard that this is much smaller than it used to be, seems that Covid has really slowed things down. Still worth checking out though.
