Select Cut Steak House - Chicago

This was our first visit, and we’re already hooked! The portions are so generous that they’re perfect for sharing between two people. We sampled the burger, strip steak, ribs, and the steak Caesar salad, accompanied by vegetables and a loaded baked potato topped with cheese, bacon, and a side of sour cream. There were four of us: my husband and our two kids, aged 11 and 4, and we felt completely at home. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, with a neighborhood vibe. The server and owner knew everyone who came through the door, which made it feel even more welcoming. The prices are significantly lower than at any steakhouse we’ve been to in a while, but the quality doesn’t suffer at all. For just $40, we enjoyed a steak, a half slab of ribs, veggies, and a loaded baked potato—such a great deal that’s hard to find these days! We were truly impressed with the cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff, the service, and the quality of the food. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

We visited our son for his birthday and knew he'd love to go for steak. I stumbled on this restaurant and it was just perfect. My wife and son enjoyed their filets while I tried the beef teriyaki. I love rice teriyaki dishes and this one was perfect. (Well, I don't like cooked carrots so almost perfect. Great flavor. The restaurant seemed to have their regulars but wasn't crowded on a Sunday evening. The menu had a number of options across a wide price range and the service was excellent. We will definitely return when back in town.

This restaurant is a true gem in the city. The food is outstanding, and the service is spot-on. The prices are unbeatable as well. I can confidently say that you won’t find a better burger in the city at this price. I highly recommend it for dates, families, and everyone in between!
