I 've gone to this store a few times *just* to grab dinner at SGD, experiencing both sit down and to-go. I 'd say the wait times *after* ordering are about5-10 minutes. Nowhere close to full-size restaurant wait times. So far, I 've ordered both the bento box with Korean beef, andthe hot stone plate bibimbap. Both dishes are amazing, but also surprisingly filling. I 've found the portions of food to be theperfect amount to fill me up without ordering extra sides. Make sure you specify whether you want your order here or toto-go. Sometimes you 're asked, other times you have to speak up. I wanted mine to-go the other day and forgot to mention it, butthe nice man at the register quickly helped fix that before our food was ready. The atmosphere gets 3 stars becausewell....it 's in a store. No prettier than your average mall food court. At the end of the day, it 's more about the foodanyway. Bottom line? Do not misjudge this little vendor just because it 's inside a store.
The SGD in Glenview/Northbrook is better than this location. This location basically gives you NOTHING in the soup, barely any tofu, beef or anything that is listed to come with dish. Also, very little side dishes. The one in Glenview gives you a bunch ofside dishes. You can make soon dubu yourself at the same price that tastes better than spending your money here.
This location is in a food court inside H Mart. The quality of the food is just average and the service is minimal. I had been to this shop in other locations and I found the service and food quality much better over there.
Overheard from my Korean GF: ?I gave it a chance cause it?s my peoples food, but knowing the potential of this dish, it could have been way better.?
Paid 26.99 for kalbi, was given 10 pieces of thin Kalbi over a bed of onions, a bowl of rice, and a side of kimchi. All of the Kalbi had a charred flavor to it and was blackened on the sides.
