Fantastic, friendly service and love the salsa negra.
Step into Traspasada Restaurant, a hidden gem tucked away in the Avondale neighborhood, and discover a haven where every meal transforms into a jubilant celebration. The ambiance is an irresistible blend of cozy comfort and vibrant energy, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable dining experience. I couldn't resist answering the tempting call of their luscious Jamaica, a velvety elixir that orchestrates a delightful harmony of spices, teasing the palate for the flavors yet to unfold. The true stars of this culinary show? The tacos. Both the asada and cabeza varieties were an explosion of flavor! These four tacos, juicy and bursting with tantalizing tastes, proved to be a culinary masterpiece. The asada was a delightful balance of tenderness and with its tender balance and kissed-by-flames char, while the cabeza offered a luxurious, melt-in-your-mouth journey. Freshly made tortillas cradled these savory delights, making each bite a comforting experience of savory goodness! Traspasada isn't just a restaurant; it's an odyssey, a destination inviting both locals and wanderers. For anyone seeking genuine, mouth watering Mexican cuisine within an embrace of welcoming and vibrant vibes, it's an experience worth savoring. And count me in for a return trip. It's absolutely worth it!
Fun little peppy spot. The black salsa is mesmerizing. The food is pretty good for its price. All in all, a good spot for tacos/ burritos/ Chile reyeyannos et al.
We are blessed with an abundance of great Mexican restaurants in the area and Traspasada ranks near the top. I highly recommend the Cesina Burrito, with Suizo of course. Also a special item not often found at any restaurant is Smelt. I love it!
