The restaurant also treated my friend for her birthday in a delicious desert! The ambience is great and very relaxing. There was only one Hiccup we met with the server. He brought our check BEFORE we even asked for it or finished our meal. I feel like this restaurant is not the kind of facility where guests should feel like they are rushing. And after we paid and left tips, the waiter CAME BACK to take the check, and again, we were not even left at that time. He took the check, but not our empty plates or drinking glasses. I don't want to call him personally, so I just leave it here in the hope that management will be able to communicate this small label problem to his employees. We will definitely be back!
The service was phenomenal. My waiter, Steve, explained everything and answered all my questions. He was wonderful! The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Petite Filet with Broccoli and the Lobster Risotto! I will definitely be back!!
The tomahawk salt encrusted steak was delicious and the lobster risotto was amazing. The service was wonderful and the bar had the most creative a delicious cocktails.
We dined at Rochelle Travelle Kitchen Bar after a fashion show, located at 330 N Wabash Ave, 2nd Floor Chicago, IL, 60611. We arrived to valet parking and made our way up to the 2nd floor, where the space had been transformed from the IBM cafeteria to an elegant dining area with a wine selection for discerning palates. We were warmly greeted with a smile and the evening commenced with excellent service. We began with tea and honey, followed by the carrot soup which was accompanied by toasted pumpkin seeds. While the soup was delicious, we would have preferred it to be a bit warmer. For our second course, we had salads - a Kale Caesar salad and a Blue Cheese wedge salad. Both were tasty, although Rochelle wished for the dressing to be served on the side. Our server, Endri V, and Jacob provided top-notch service, ensuring we had everything we needed. We also had a pleasant conversation with Thibaut Idenn, the Beverage Director. Despite a small hiccup with the tepid tea, our overall experience at Rochelle Travelle Kitchen Bar was enjoyable. We spoke briefly with Nancy Matt, who was very attentive, and although we requested to speak with the front of house assistance manager, Marc Silenceieux, he was on vacation. The valet service was efficient and we left satisfied with our dining experience at Rochelle Travelle Kitchen Bar.
We had to call the server to refill ice tea or removed the finished dishes/plates away a few times. We expected more from a restaurant like Travelle. Note: the restaurant was not busy on that day.
