Yes most of it went home with me but besides the food, they let us sit in the vip section with reclining leather chairs and tv's! The barmaid was also the waitress so service was slow but it was a Sunday and the experience made it worth it!
We came at 5:15pm almost no one in the place Seating is only in high rise bar stool kind of chairs, so uncomfortable for shorter folks like the wife who prefers her feet on the ground. Menu looked good and we tried the meatball appetizer, burger sliders, and mushroom truffle pizza. The description of the meatballs sounded great (mixture of beef, pork, and veal) but they proved lackluster seemed perhaps frozen and then nuked instead of being tender and juicy, they were tough and dry sauce was tasty but it, the meatballs, and the toasted bread were all room temperature or cooler. The burger sliders similarly sounded great a blend of beef, short ribs, etc. indeed the burgers themselves had great taste, but like the meatballs seemed like they may have been frozen and then reheated in a microwave. The burgers themselves had good flavor, but were cold and the slice of cheese on each had no melt at all and actually looked like had taken it out of the fridge, took a slice, and plopped it on the cool burger. The pretzel buns were toasted but similarly cold. Can 't tell if the slow server had allowed the food to sit so long everything cooled off before we got it, but the lack of melt on the cheese suggests a bigger kitchen problem. Finally the mushroom truffle pizza existentially the pizza had all the hallmarks of a potentially excellent pie the crust had good taste and texture, there were plenty of mushrooms and cheese, and the truffle flavor was well pronounced BUT, the darn thing was also room temperature when we got it. We ended up taking a couple sliders and most of the pizza home at least we could reheat it properly there and it proved to be a good lunch the next day. But this is completely unacceptable performance for a restaurant . The waitress did manage to keep my soda glass refilled, but wish she had either been faster with food delivery or the kitchen had done its job better whichever the reason for cold food.
A group of 6 went for dinner before bowling and tried the Restaurant Week Menu. One of my friends only ordered a salad and it was the last thing to come out 10 minutes after the rest of us got our other food. There were only two other tables occupied and they all had their food so not sure what the issue was. I also got a salad as part of the 3 courses. All of our food came out at different times which made us think that the food was not put in on time. Lots of servers milling around with nothing to do which didn't make sense we had asked for two sides of dressing and never got them. In addition one of our checks was incorrect. If the female hostesses and servers actually put some clothes on then maybe they would be able to concentrate on giving good service.
I highly recommend this place . I had my birthday gathering here for 30 people And I could not have asked for a better set up, staff and overall expdri. They are very friendly and accommodating! We had a semi private area and the whole place is spacious. Absolutely loved everything about this place!!
Really had a nice time at Trophy Room, went on a Monday night and they had some really good Happy Hour specials! Definitely will be going back and recommend it to my friends.
