I've enjoyed the True Food Kitchen in Naples, Florida very much so I was excited to see a True Food in Chicago.
Nice open space with airy ambienceLots of gluten free options and good tasting food.
Wings was raw and ****, ribs was all fat and service was terrible.
We were three adults with two (nicely dressed and well mannered) kids at 5 in the evening on a Sunday. The restaurant was 1/2 empty and the rude hostess shoved us at a tall bar table in between a service station and the kitchen door. After asking someone other than the hostess were moved to a regular table. The waitstaff was either overwhelmed or just terribly trained. Service took forever, orders were wrong, and the music was unnecessarily loud. BBQ brisket tasted like it was pounded with a mallet and soaked in liquid smoke. The one good thing I can say about this place is that the onion rings were incredible.
