Weather Mark Tavern - Chicago

There was nothing extraordinary about the menu, standard American pub food. But the execution was outstanding. The sweet potato waffle fries were some of the best I have had, the burgers were tasty and the Chicago steak sandwich was delicious. Music was louder than I prefer for dining, but our server was attentive bring water refills before we even had to ask.

Food was good restaurant a bit more crowded with new COVID rules and it's good to see. Lively crowd all good.

Kind of Bias. High marks because I've been here maybe 10-12 times inn the last 2 months and all I get is great service and better food.

Bottomless Mimosas are pre-made (more juice than champagne)... Just purchase a bottle (25 dollars) and get OJ on the side... The omelet had potential but had a burnt grill overcooked taste to it.... It tasted like they don’t throughly clean or wipe down grill in between cooking orders.. I had to send my beignets because there was a piece of a plastic utensil cooked into my beignets.. Thank goodness I bit into it before swallowing the beignet. Good parts: service was good.. waitress was extremely accommodating and they removed the beignets from my final bill.

The chicken here is barely edible. It?s advertised as fried when it?s microwaved and not fresh. I was worried it would make me sick so I didn?t even eat it. Waitress asked me if I wanted a box instead of asking if I liked it. I didn?t say anything andregret not. Paid and left. Will not be back here. My husbands cuban was gross as well. Service was good and atmosphere was niceas well. Wanted to like it but the food was just so bad.
