Attended a private function in La Havana. The venue is great, quirky, spacious but with an intimate, cosy feel. The toilets need a major overall, dirty and badly maintained. The big let down was the staff. After reading other reviews of how friendly and helpful they were, I'm disappointed to say that myself, and several other people in our party found otherwise. Abrupt and unwelcoming, they looked as if they would rather be anywhere else than behind the bar. A couple of issues were dealt with, in what can only be described as quite an unprofessional manner. It can't be easy to be working when all around you are having a party, but if that's the profession you've chosen, put a smile on your face and make the best of it. Unfortunately the result is, that this venue is not somewhere I would return to, or somewhere I would recommend.
I booked my 40th at La Havana and the owner/manager was great in helping me organise everything, the bar staff with brilliant and very friendly, the venue itself was awesome, and the even the doorman was so polite and knowledgeable, no problem was to big for these people. Would certainly book again and pass onto family and friends
On the second Friday of every month a very special meeting takes place in this wonderfully, intimate and welcoming Jazz Club. I've attended all of the Jazz nights and they get better and better as each one passes. I would find it very difficult to explain every night. But a general synopsis would be that every night so far ihas been a huge amount of fun, with excellent music, great music and a warn environment. I highly recommend and there is nothing close within a pretty large radius. Just experience it for yourself.
Excellent party venue with options for a dance area and bar area. Very reasonable price for chichester and good that there is the option of catering or bring your own. It is maybe a tiny bit tatty but for the price and ambience it's great and 100 times better than a village hall or similar. We only had about 50 people so the dance floor looked a bit empty but better that for us than people crammed in. Very good staff and no problems with arrival time or set up. Relaxed and accommodating manager, great communication via email and we were really satisfied.
