Food and drinks: The pub is lovely, and the location and staff are amazing. However, I found the new menu introduced in October to be a bit disappointing. The service and location both receive a rating of 5 out of 5.

We were deeply disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. It was recommended to us by a local friend as the perfect place for my mother to treat us all to dinner in honor of my late father's birthday. Unfortunately, the service, while polite, lacked warmth and at times it seemed like the staff resented our presence. The lack of care and attention was evident, and the quality of the food did not justify the high prices. We suspect that the restaurant has been taken over by new management since our friend last visited. It was a real shame.

Very good pub dinner, all the classics but elegantly done. Pleasant location and good staff who had by chance invented a rather glorious marmalade cocktail. Service: 5 Location: 4
