Let the look of the place you deceive, it is definitely a hole in the wall joint, but one of the best! I have the big single hamburgers and onion rings.
When I came back from the first Woodbadge weekend (11 April 2015), I thought Paw Paw was a very good burger. I have too much food. My meals were a large double cheeseburger with chili and chili cheese. It was a brightuva mess, but very good. The chili was nothing special, no heat and not too much taste. The frits were really good, great taste. The burgers were great, with a lot of beef flavor and cooked with a beautiful crust on them. Great stuff.
Family tradition continues. I grew up in Chickasha and every time my husband and I visit, this is our favorite place to eat. If you are looking for a burger made the old fashion way, this is the place. The burgers are handmade from fresh, non-frozen meat and the bungalows are roasted on the grill to give them the extra snack. The fries are also made fresh. Just think about the food. Yeah, the place is small, but that's just the atmosphere.
It all started with a groupon.... My husband, 6 months old, and I came to Paw Paw 's after buying a groupon for this restaurant. We originally saw this restaurant after visiting a movie at Chief Drive In. Paw Paw 's Hamburgers is about 30-45 minutes from OKC... depending on how fast you drive... in a small building. I had many burgers in my life and go to Burger Day every year, and my husband generally says it well or it's okay when it comes to food. But when we ate here, he went on and about how good the burger was. He's got the big double. He even compared it with... and maybe it felt better than... a burger from his favorite burger connections in El Reno. That says a lot. As for me, I found the onion rings to be my favorite. Many places slip off on their sides, but the onion rings were delicious, like the cheese frits... at least as far as I could say I stole my husband's plate, they were delicious. He wouldn't share them all... But our experience was not exclusively the delicious tactile sensations of this restaurant. It was complete with hospitality and generosity of staff, able to observe football on Saturday, and conversation with local foods. So whether you are looking for a delicious burger, fries or onion rings, or looking for a great place to watch and relax the game, make the ride to Chickasha and eat at Paw Paw's Hamburger. You won't regret it!
Hamburger was good. Fries were stale and flavorless. Too many ppl for the one waiter to handle by himself but friendly none the less
