Must be the best tapas in Chiclana....love the food Staff friendly, Great value and Big portions. Love to go back!!

I've been the last night with majority friend of mine for a birthday which it missed the birthday boy. The service was nice, the waiter attentive and kind. The average food-price good! I'll come back to try Muerte por chocolate.

Three years ago we found this place by coincidence since we were shopping in the area. And so a love story began! Every time since, if we're in Andalucia, we drive to Chiclana (no matter how far it is... to eat at Rafaels because it just is the best tapas place we've ever found. The atmosphere is not special since Rafaels is in a strip mall, the presentation of the food is nothing to write home about. But the taste, the flavors, the quality of the food is amazing. Try the fried squid, the various Russian salads, the toasts, the pulpo a la gallega, the crocettes, the chicken with garlic and don't leave out the tocino de cielo for dessert! You're gonna be in heaven. The food is basic spanish and the menu might not bear any surprises but the taste of it all will blow your mind away. The staff is very nice and fun. They gladly help you through the menu and give you some good advise. The restaurants gets pretty busy specially during lunch time. A place that you shouldn't miss, specially also if you're a tourist in the area and wanna have a great, great lunch with some locals.
