One of the owners spoke surprisingly fluent english which made it easy for her to give us recommendations. As foreigners to the Asian cuisine we wanted to try out new dishes and ordered the: noodles with Chinese Toon Sauce (10/10! seaweed filled roll with black rice, corn and veggie chicken (9/10 medicinal broth soup (6/10, it was too bland for me iced black tea with lemon (10/10 freshly squeezed orange juice (9/10 My wife was so in love with the noodles with sauce that the owners offered us to make it for takeaway 30 minutes before opening hours on the day after, because we were taking an early train! Anyone that would like to try out original dishes with a pure and natural taste should go here and support the business these lovely people run.
A space and menu reflecting the owner’s personality and warmth. The food is nourishing and uses local ingredients. The rice fields are just down the road! I had two hand made sushi rolls (the long type). These include freshly-cooked ingredients, such as plant-chicken, so don’t be put off when your rolls are lovingly delivered warm. Hours are simple now, I sent through changes to Happy Cow. 11:40-14:00 and 17:00-19:30 every day.
I'm so glad we stopped here for lunch. We ordered 2 types of sushi rolls (one with peppers and the other with chikin), a Chinese toon pancake, and mulberry tea, and everything was so delicious! The ingredients are fresh and locally-sourced and the mulberry tea is some of the best we've ever had. The owner is really nice and the atmosphere is like being in someone's home. He was playing some classic American blues music and even had a record player there. Highly recommended!
My vegetarian rest in the small town chihshang. I usually have their walking roles for lunch or on the road when cycling in the city. their stinking tofu noodles were delicious and full of taste. the owner was very friendly and they can say that it is obliged to promote vegetarian food through their small restoration. feel free to tell her their diet requests and to put them more than happy. If you want to eat a home, that's the place.
