Warriors Hometown Grill - Chilhowie

I ordered through DoorDash from this restaurant, but they didn’t receive the order. Instead, Chilhowie Pizza did, and instructed the driver to go there. Upon arrival, the staff at Chilhowie Pizza informed her that they couldn’t fulfill the order for some reason. I do not recommend ordering DoorDash from this place. Since both restaurants are owned by the same people, the orders are linked together.

The restaurant offers delicious ice cream, tasty hamburgers, fried mushrooms, and crispy onion rings. The food is excellent, and the sweet tea is highly recommended.

We waited a solid 20 minutes just to place our drink order, and we were the only ones in the restaurant at that time. Several parties arrived and were seated, but two of them ended up leaving. Honestly, I wish we had done the same. My fish was undercooked, and the mac and cheese had barely any cheese—it was mostly just white noodles. I might have thought this was just a bad day for the restaurant, but after reading other reviews, it seems like this is a consistent issue. We will not be returning to this place.

I have eaten here a few times. Very courteous staff. Met the owner and sampled several items. most all items if not all are homemade. Slaw and sauces are all very good.

Told us would be an hour for our food when we called in an order. We came exactly an hour later--they couldn't find our order. Said would be another half hour. Hubby told them to forget it. They weren't apologetic at all. Never once did anyone say they were sorry. Also drove up to them throwing a pan of dishwater out the front door. Not the best impression. Will not be back. Can't say how good or bad food is because this was our first last visit.
