Open table menu for this restaurant is wrong! The menu itself at the Lytton was very limited with not many choices. Disappointed about having seen an old menu on Opentable but staff did give a 15%discount.
Lovely venue with great outdoor space, beautiful view over the gardens and lake. Menu nice and simple for lunch and very tasty. Lovely lunch.
Although it was the holidays therefore very quiet, we had a most enjoyable meal. Staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. We will be returning. A real Hidden Gem.
My family and I brought my mother to this restaurant for afternoon tea to celebrate her 94th birthday. The setting was lovely and easily accessible, although the restaurant itself was a bit tricky to find. The staff, while not very welcoming, quickly asked us for our table preference and drink orders before we even sat down. There was no menu or description of the food we would be served, nor were we given a choice of teas. It felt like the staff just wanted to serve the food and be done with it. We were the only customers in the restaurant, surrounded by a bustling staff preparing for an evening function. They seemed to ignore us and made us feel like an inconvenience. Eventually, a more personable staff member took over, but none of the staff acknowledged my mother's special birthday, despite me mentioning it when booking. The food was decent, with reasonable sandwiches, warm scones, and a selection of cakes. However, I was disappointed that each person was served only half of a very small bun, which felt a bit stingy. The cakes also didn't seem very fresh. Overall, the lack of ambiance and sense of occasion made it feel like a rather amateur and average experience. I wouldn't return to this restaurant.
