Great Western Motor Inn - Chinchilla

The rooms are very clean and the staff is extremely friendly. We made a last-minute booking late in the day and were pleased to receive a spacious, well-equipped room. The bed was comfortable.

While in Chinchilla, we visited two places to eat. The first one was not to our taste at all, but The Big West felt like a home away from home. The gardens were beautifully landscaped and well-maintained, as were the rooms, swimming pool, and grill. At $80 per night, you can't go wrong. There is ample parking available for cars, trailers, etc. Each room is equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, water kettle, and toaster. There is also a restaurant on-site and room service is available.

This motel is so peaceful, beautiful well-maintained rasen and fabulous rosengarten. great place for a high time. our room was very quiet, no street noise and was clean comfortable, all they need for a weekend trip. very relaxing. I'm sure you'll be back.

This used to be my go-to place to stay when visiting Chinchilla, but it has changed ownership twice in the past year and is now up for sale again. My breakfast order was incorrect, the pool was not usable, there were ants in the room, the bathroom had a cracked floor, and there was a strange smell coming from the cabinet. There was only one spare cushion and a limited selection of TV channels. It seems like the restaurant may never reopen, and overall the place has deteriorated. I will not be staying here again in the future. It's unfortunate, but it seems like the end is near for this place.

This property is now owned by Locals, Bill and Brenda Rackemann. They will restore the property to its rightful place as the best place to eat west of Toowoomba.
