Excelente restaurant in a really nice old Spanish villaje. Perfect cooking and nice hotel and spa. Extremely kind people

I’m always reluctant to write a negative review especially given the fact of so many positive reviews. I was on holiday with my father and we loved the authentic cosy Spanish look of this place and the fabulous wine list sold it. We arrived on a Friday at 8.45pm and were surprised at being the only 2 in the restaurant but we lived in hope. No other customers all night but I assumed this was because of an event the next day in the town so I did feel somewhat sorry for the owner. Unfortunately with. no other customers there was no atmosphere. After ordering a bottle the amazing Roda 1 (the highlight) the waitress (somewhat inexperienced) poured too much into each glass and didn’t even give us the usual sample first for taste which was puzzling. Anyway I ordered a steak which was great and had asparagus with homemade potato and my father ordered lamb chops. For the price the portions were small and we ordered a some more potato to fill the gap. During the duration of the whole meal the waitress keep walking up and down every 5 minutes towards the reception area as if she was keen to get us out. We also had to ask them to give us more time before serving us the mains. At least 15/20 gap is good. I just felt unwelcome and an inconvenience from the word go. I’m hoping this was only our one off experience on the given night though still unacceptable. At the end of the evening you felt the weight of a stare for the waitress and the owner as if they wanted us gone. Ratings overall out of 10 based on our night. Food 5. Portions 5. Atmosphere 0. Service 3. Wine list 10. Decor 8. Value for money 5. And Chinchon was beautiful!!! I’d eat at the stunning parador next time as similar price.

Tasty food, a bit expensive but it values. Meat, vegetables and desserts really good. Nice place, peaceful

Un restaurante maravilloso en pleno centro de Chinchón . La atención es exquisita y la comida de lujo. Tomamos ensalada de perdiz, sopa castellana , habitas con jamón y un entrecòte trinchado... estaba todo delicioso y en su punto ; y todavía quedaban los postres caseros ! tiramisú y crema de limón , de lo mejor que comido. un lugar para repetir sin duda!

Un lugar para el cuidado y el descanso. Trato estupendo desde que hicimos la reserva hasta que nos marchamos. Todo muy cuidado, un ambiente cálido que invita a la tranquilidad. La habitación con mucho detalle, grande y con las cosas necesarias, muy muy limpia. El desayuno fenomenal, a parte del café, nos sirvieron zumo pero también nos ofrecieron frutas, yogur, tomamos tostadas, magdalenas y bizcocho, y siempre muy atentos por si necesitábamos algo. Comimos también en el restaurante del hotel, al igual que lo demás de muy buena calidad, y el ambiente en la parte del mirador de arriba muy tranquilo. Pudimos hacer un circuito spa privado que contratamos en el último momento, recomendable también, te facilitan albornoz y zapas, el circuito que hicimos fue de hora y media, con sauna, chorros de contraste con varias opciones, piscina y tumbonas de calor...Tienen más opciones y otro tipo de terapias. Solo puedo tener comentarios positivos para las personas que lo llevan, su amabilidad, buena gestión....Cuando podamos repetiremos.
