If you plan to come here again, buy the annual pass which is only a few hundred yen more and will pay back immediately on your next visit. Free carpark is available
A lovely English garden with heaps of plants and trees and shrubs in a beautiful location. There is an Alice in Wonderland garden a perfect setting for photo ops, a Rose Garden, A Bakery, Boutique and a Cafe. It was a pleasant change from the structured Japanese Garden with severe pruning and rock arrangements. Located in the Tateshina Highlands it’s a pleasant space to spend some time and wander around especially during the spring and summer months.
Glad we only paid the lower winter price, even in full bloom in summer the garden it to small to the cost of the entry ticket. I am sure that the garden is very different to many other open gardens in Japan, and is a unique experience. We did not use the cafe, although had planned to due to a coach tour taking too long to be served.
Impressive feat to build a garden like this from scratch , zero and documented inside by pictures of how it looked on day one through work to completion. Unfortunately end of september while still pretty seems to be about 8 weeks too late to see all blossoming.
Delicious fish and chips. The chef was a nice guy! Plenty of salt and vinegar too!
