The Tavern - Chios

Do not hesitate to visit this old school Greek tavern and ask for local dishes, not what you might know as a tourist. Try dishes that only these guys cook and believe me, they'll make you happy! The service is fast and staffers are very kind. If you visit it between Spring and late Autumn, go sit in the back yard. Its beauty and simplicity will warm your soul. A real Greek tavern. in summer dinner outside in the garden is amazing among the citrus trees. in winter there is a lot of light, but you will get used to it quickly. they always ask what the specialties of the day are and order a few different things (recommend the fava, it is to die for the prices are absolutely fair for the portions. Everyone who was there, returns. that's all?

Beautiful atmosphere, great authentic Greek eating. in or to go. the backyard is fantastic! highly recommended.

Original Greek food, fast service, reasonable prices. they need to try the fried meatballs and the local ones don't forget.
