We visited the cage in this branch of Waitrose. I had a lovely cup of Americano (coffee), served with milk in a China jug and sugar of my choice. My wife had hot chocolate, and she also had a blueberry muffin while I ate a lemon and fruit Danish pastry. It was really well presented and the service was outstanding. Couple that with a quiet atmosphere where you can converse without shouting to be heard, and you get the picture. The shopping experience here is much as you would expect from any other Waitrose and as an older guy it suits me to find a quieter slightly less frenetic environment. I would like to see more in the way of low packaging impact goods like the fill your own container to be found in a few branches, but I guess we will have to wait a bit longer for that to come around. Overall, a brilliant experience considering it is shopping
Bargain hunting call in weekly to see if any offers attract me.
We shop here every week and have always found the staff friendly and helpful, but this week we went to the fish counter looking for smoked although there was some labelled as such it was Haddock we thanked the lady and carried on shopping to our surprise later the lady found us and said she had found some for us.a big thank you to her
The Waitrose café is lovely as well. The coffee is delicious, affordable, and of high quality, and they offer a variety of items on the menu along with snacks. There are plenty of seating options in the café, and it's always clean. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always ready to help you find what you need in the store. There are several checkout options available, so I rarely have to wait long to make my purchases. I think it's fantastic that you can shop online with John Lewis and pick up your order at the Chipping Sodbury Waitrose; it's incredibly convenient. Overall, I really like this store. I don't shop there all the time because I tend to prefer other places due to the pricing of certain items, but that doesn’t deter me from enjoying my visits or going to the café.
