Poivre Rouge - Cholet

Really nice staff; really wide menu, great for kids; really nice ambiance. Good place to relax, especially after a long day at Puy du Fou.

We were passing through Cholet on our way home from a weekend with friends and we stopped for lunch. We had never eaten in one of this chain's restaurants before and we were very surprised at the range of food. We chose the 14.50 euro meal. Entrée was from a serve yourself chilled buffet table with a good selection of meats and fish as well as prawns and whelks. The vegetable and salad selection was all fresh and well prepared. There was a choice of 4 main courses and our choice, Lasagne, was piping hot. A good choice of dessert followed. The young waitress was very pleasant and efficient and the hand-held electronic ordering device ensured that your choice was delivered quickly by other, equally pleasant staff. We will use this restaurant chain again.
