The Golden Lion - Chorley

Came over the pub after a nice walk along the canal and through the village. cured inside of 'walker and their dogs welcome '. we received a warm welcome, the service was friendly and welcoming. the food was tasty and the toffee and the chocolate brew with ice was delicious. nothing was too much annoyed. the rudder fire gives the place a domestic feeling. will definitely recommend to our friends and family.

Just like to say thank you to Darren, Sam and the team for a fantastic evening last night. Food was excellent as always, please pass on our compliments to the chef, and the Jonny Oates Band was fantastic too. A great atmosphere to help celebrate a family birthday which was enjoyed by all. Highly recommend.

First visit here but wasn't disappointed. Food was excellent, we were served promptly and staff very friendly welcoming. Menu not extensive (not a bad thing though) but there's something for everyone and a few specials to choose from too. Very reasonably priced. Would recommend a visit and we'll definitely be back!

The food was very good however the portions could have been a little bit bigger. Overall a very homely, friendly dog friendly pub I would recommend it to all of my friends.
