Looking online for a nice place to have a nice Sunday roast ..found it... excellent. Well looked after by the staff..good atmosphere. Music. Clean and tidy. The beef roast was very good. Too much on the plate could not finish it .will be back again to try something else on the menu.
I recently visited this cosy pub in the lancashire countryside. The service was absolutely top notch. The staff were friendly and efficient and brought water for our dog. The food was outstanding. Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. This pub has a good quality car park with ample spaces. What sets this pub apart from other dog friendly pubs I have visited is the one doggie meal per table concept. There is a menu, specifically for dogs, which contains a number of tasty meals that can be ordered free (one per table). What an amazing idea! If you are looking for a delicious meal in a rural, dog friendly pub then The Travellers Rest is a must visit.
We attended the Halloween event at the pub and were warmly greeted by the staff. They went above and beyond to provide activities for the kids, such as arts and crafts, games, and sweet prizes. Despite being busy, the staff worked diligently to ensure everything ran smoothly. The food was excellent, with generous portions of pizza and chips for the kids that they thoroughly enjoyed. Our meals were also delicious and of decent size. The interior of the pub was beautifully decorated and the restrooms were clean. We will definitely be returning, whether as a couple or with our family.
Nice place with lovely food. Great look about the place with lovely pictures everywhere. Nice to be so welcoming for families and dogs. Burgers are to die for
