Daphne's - Christchurch

Nice food with amazing service. I can't say the food is best( pretty good no problem at all) but I was so pleased the way treat customer here. They are very helpful with the menu and also polite to ask to start to cleaning floor. Because we all finished our meal just talking and having a Chinese tea. Even owner was kind and care good customer service. I was so impressed and felt good. Love to visit again and will try dimsum at lunchtime too.. Recommended Chinese restaurant.

I come here every time I am in Christchurch. it’s definitely a place you need to stop into if your ever in Christchurch and every time I have come the service and food has always been amazing!! My family have also been going here for years.

Myself and my family love coming to Daphne's over the years. The food is always on point and full of flavour Worth our money spent and we never leave unsatisfied The Yum cha menu has a great selection and the amazing staff work really hard to provide for customers. Such a lovely atmosphere They also have private rooms you can book for birthdays etc and B.Y.O. Only suggestion would be to put the heaters on prior to lunch setting as it gets a little cold specially if you taking the kids but the lovely tea does help keep you warm.

I think we came during the weekend when their main chief is on leave. Knew about this when we wanted to order egg tart and they said the chief is not around. Carrot/radish came very oily. Century egg porridge is quite blend as well. The char shiu Bao is ok. Sesame hall is light and crispy. Local friends who brought us also said that food is different from usual. A lot of the items were sold out or unavailable but they informed us late so we were unable to replace the order before their kitchen stops taking in orders. Sounds like the front of house was in chaos. The lady boss was very apologetic.

We really love the dimsum at this place. The service is fast.
