Sister Kong Bao - Christchurch

We had a great time at Sister Kong. We were informed that the restaurant is child-friendly, and they handled our energetic child quite well. However, they did overlook our request for a simple bowl of fries and a hot dog. I really enjoyed the fries and my bao bun, and the virgin cocktail I ordered was delightful.

The food was incredible! We started with dumplings and then enjoyed the pork belly bao bun and the beef brisket bao bun, and both were outstanding! The value for money was fantastic. The staff were friendly as well. If I ever find myself in Christchurch again, I'd return in a heartbeat!

The kimchi dumplings were absolutely delicious! I have a soft spot for a great bao burger, and they really nailed it. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but I would definitely return.

This place is always extremely busy so make sure you book!!! Unless going on a quieter night you might be lucky enough to get a seat. Food is AMAZING! Really loved the prawn dim sum and the bao’s were also to die for! Obviously you pay more cos the food is so amazing but it’s totally worth the food and the lovely staff!

I went last Sunday to have lunch and was an amazing surprise. The interior decoration of the place is impecable , industrial with an Asian touch. Staff is very friendly and helpful as well as they recommend some of the dishes in the menu. The mocktails are really tasty and original. The size of the dishes are a bit small but really tasty. New way to discover Asian food. Love it !!!
