The Avonhead Tavern And One Good Horse

Took a large group of near 40 for dinner on a Monday night. We had the Stables area to ourselves, which was suitably distant from the Quiz night. Excellent range of good value meal options, served in timely manner by attentive staff. From booking to on the night OGH went out their way to accommodate our requirements. Highly recommend.

Loved this pub. Generous food, good service and golf. Only pub in NZ that has 4 golf simulators. Pinballs too. Feels very friendly.

We were a large group. I called a few days earlier and was told because they already had 2 large groups they couldn't accommodate us. They suggested the bar area. We arrived, had a corner of reserved tables and can't rave enough about our experience. We would do this again in preference to eating in the restaurant. Well done Avonhead Tavern, you went above and beyond. Highly recommend

Food was nice, took a while for dessert to come out and the chairs are hard .

Great prices and atmosphere, absolutely love the Hog Thursday special. We always have a good meal here.
