I decided to try the penne arrabbiata, which had a non-traditional twist with added vegetables, including olives. Unfortunately, the olives used were quite bitter, which overwhelmed the dish and made the tomato sauce taste too bitter. The lack of garlic also made the flavors unbalanced. Additionally, I was disappointed to find out that bread was not included with the meal and had to order ciabatta, which tasted more like stale sourdough. On a positive note, the Italian chianti I ordered was excellent.
The Prosciutto Rucola pizza and tiramisu were both delicious. The service was alright but could use some improvement.
I was very impressed with the skill of the kitchen staff at this restaurant, especially considering it was just a two-person team. The food was fantastic. I typically don't enjoy pasta, but the spaghetti with prawns was absolutely delicious.
Only very small cripples. the food was great when the bruschetta could share what was really good. I had the venuti spezialpizze. in any case, no complaining. base was crispy toppings were perfect. my companion had the spaghetti-Marinara. sauce to pasta ratio was a bit off and the spaghetti was slightly overcooked. but asked the cook for a little broth to mix the sauce so happy. tiramisu was great. affogato with frangelico for me. coffee really did it for me. can really say one of the best Italian meals I had in christchurch. keep them good work young
