Welcome Chinese Vegetarian Cafe

This is a funny wee place tucked away at the end of Riccarton now, but we have been going to Welcome since it was down in Colombo St and they still have same extensive and delicious vegan menu, full of crazy sounding meat substitutes. The people who run it are lovely, it's got that authentic feel, and the food is just plain delicious. Easy on the wallet too! One of our family fave restaurants in Christchurch, for sure.

They have a large menu here at very decent prices!!! They also have a separate Vegan menu which is fantastic. Food always comes out pretty fast as well.

We had just landed at CHC and were too hungry... checked the app whch suggestes good veg restaurants, hired our vehicle and headed straight to Riccarton ... as read in other reviews, i agree tht the owner who is a Singaporean is really friendly. Great options and all of them really tasty!!

The owner is a very friendly person and he understood exactly what sort of food we were looking for. There are a ton of options at this restaurant so it gets a bit difficult to choose exactly what we want to order. But overall definitely recommended to anyone who wants good vegetarian chinese food.

We are never disappointed, we try lots of different dishes each time. Love the flavours and they are very filling. Our family loves going to Welcome. Very friendly and helpful service. Lots of options as well
