The Priory Fryer - Christchurch

We are always welcomed with a smile and good humor at this restaurant. The fish and chips are consistently delicious, with the regular portion size being more than enough for a satisfying evening meal. We love enjoying our meal by the waterfront.

Really disappointed in the portion size. I paid £3.20 for a chip butty . I also brought my son a portion of chips for £3 . I expected to get a portion of chips the same sort of size of his just with a bap. I’d say I was lucky if I got 20 chips. I can not believe they could serve such a small amount of chips for the price. Really really disappointed, wish we hadn’t bothered. The chips we did have tasted okay but just felt ripped off. Definitely wouldn’t eat there again.

Not bad, but very expensive and not especially generous. Disappointing compared to previous visits. Will give it one more chance before I desert....

We recently had the best fish and chips in a while at this restaurant! The dish was served with a side of humor and cooked fresh. The chips were crispy and came in generous portions.

Best chippie ever! We love Priory Fryer. Great fish with the option of breadcrumbs over batter, really chunky chicken pieces, a far cry from a nugget and perfect chips. Portion sizes are generous and it's all freshly prepped and well served. Add in the lovely atmosphere and the great service from a happy team and this is bordering on the perfect take away. Highly recommend if you're around the Christchurch area. Oops, review asked for photos, but too late, demolished!
