I ordered another drink from the bar and waited for 30 minutes. no service yet. I found the waiter again and asked him if he could accept our command. the answer was, we're busy. so I told the bare person that we were out and was not willing to wait longer on the wait, the waiter could take our order. I have paid for the drinks and found another restaurant. short story is, the restaurant was not full, 1 bar staff, 1 waiter is not enough.
Happy to get a star. had a Sunday afternoon in the year or so, that should have been braided bark, but was so surprised when I was given a 4 inch square big piece of fat, grimzzle no flesh at all. So. I complained and the barman looked just confused and asked if they didn't want it? he finally exchanged it after he had made a sad apology that it was only the meat cut, with the cheaper cut bark that was 3 slices thin pieces and did not pay me the difference. I walked out of the way it was just sunny to see the cook, smoke through the wooden loaf behind the kitchen, but cough and spit! I was unfortunately for a beer yesterday and had to pay £6 for a bigger one if only £4.60 for a premium camp in a higher class pub the thomas tripp.
We had a movie and dinner night, chose the ship to dinner. I felt the level of service and food to excellent, generous portions, I had the ducks and noodles. wein is expensive!
Had a 50th party with friends in this restaurant itself and a friend had the penang lamb curry it was the worse meal I had, the lamb was dry and overcooked, I mentioned it to one of the workers and they said they would. read the cook, I was just after and my friend, who had it sick. I sent the pub by e-mail and they did not have the answer
Mid morning in Christchurch and we were looking for a coffee. Decided to stop at the Ship and pleased we did. Coffee was good, staff friendly, and the pub was quiet. Perfect!
