Cristo Rey - CHUBURNÁ

We were attracted to this restaurant by the cleanliness, beautiful flowered landscape outback, and the entire family gathered sharing a meal. I had one of the best cheladas here. It was so refreshing to find this cute little restaurant after our walk along the beach. We were served complimentary appetizers that were amazing. The shrimp cocktail was so fresh and unlike any you get in the US. Next time we visit the Yucatan we will definitely come here for a meal.

We had the most delicious lunch here this week. Small, family run restaurant, fresh fish, nicely prepared. Friendly attentive staff. A lovely place to enjoy the staples of this quaint fishing village.

Six of us enjoyed a meal, with 7 beers, and two empenadas as appetizers for 830 pesos. Five of us had shrimp - coconut shrimp with a little rice and small salad on the plate, very tasty - and some fried Mero - also very tasty. Service was great - Felipe was attentive. Will definitely return for another meal or two while we're in Chuburna. Don't know about botanas - we were her for a meal.

Fui con mi familia, el precio de las bebidas y los alimentos es altísimo, las botanas son escuetas, te venden "pescado frito por kilos" pero mañosamente lo pesan antes de freirlo, cosa que esta mal ya que no estamos comprando pescado crudo y pagando el servicio de preparación, se supone que el precio que se paga es por kilo de pescado ya frito, el servicio de lo peor, ofrecen bebidas que no tienen en existencia, se tardan una eternidad en atender a las personas, les tienes que solicitar los complementos como limón, chile, sal, servilletas, etc. de lo contrario no los llevan a tu mesa.Lamentable experiencia, jamás regresaremos.NO LO RECOMIENDO!!!

Situated in the small village of Chiburna, about 16 km from Progreso, Mexico, this restaurant serves the best fish around, and we tried quite a few. Our favorite is the Ceviche of fish and octopus and the whole fried fish.Do not miss the most beautiful beach about 5 km further, ask the people at the restaurant they will direct you. So quiet, so blue, so white the sand.
