I honestly really liked this place when I used to live in San Diego a couple years back. I'm back in Chula Vista for a few weeks visiting some family and was so excited to get take-out from this restaurant I used to love. I ordered the baja salad and an immunity juice for breakfast. I came to the beach and sat down when I find not only did they forget to put the dressing for the salad the juice was also undrinkable. To be clear the immunity juice was $8-$9. The fibers of the fruit, carrot and ginger was still in the juice. It was terrible. When I let the juice separate it was 3/4 of fibers and 1/4 juice. I can't believe that this is on their menu and they don't know how to properly juice!!
Food was average, no free refills. We have to sit ourselves and order at the counter. The chilaqueles supreme are good but the French toast is dry, looks home made and the syrup is not sweet. I spent $100 here so I definitely expected a better experience. Will not be coming back and will not recommend it to anyone else.
I am glad to have a local food and the menu is good .just a little disappointed I waited 20 minutes for my half sand, the and suppe. but worse is that the suppe burned hot and burned my cramp because I had lunch for 10 minutes. it was to go. Maybe if I eat in them, they can cool the suppe for the 20 minutes, it needs to make a sand that literally saw a disc of truth and salat.
Who made the croissants deserves a kiss on the mouth. we decided to come here at least once a week. eating, the staff, the coffee, the atmosphere was phenomenal.
