De Kotija Taco Shop - Chula Vista

Sorry to say this neighborhood place is a bit overpriced for level of quality. Not the friendliest service, no A/C and uncomfortable booths. I guess they don't want customers to stay long. I visited a few years ago and hoped things had improved. Maybe next year?

I'll say more later but I want to highlight a local gem that it has taken me 23 years to find! Seriously!It was clear from the moment I entered the shop that this is the real thing. Original recipes from when the this Kotija was founded in the 1970s. Family recipes from an abuela and delicious!More soon as I need to stop writing now — but I give this business the highest rating for Mexican Taco and Burrito fare. AND MUY Grande!

Used to come here alot during my Highschool days. Not sure what happened but the food just taste different. I didn't see the owner or the family that used to run this place. The carne Asada nachos had bland meat and salty guacamole.

I ordered a chicken asado burrito with a side of fries. Asada chicken burrito: 3 stars the fries: 5 stars the service: 5 starsAlthough the burrito was not that good..I would come back. The service was great...the order of fries was huge! I think if McDonald's would serve an order or fries as big as I got here, old Ronald McDonald would be rolling over in his grave lol.
