The Egg this year’s WOAP best festival dish winner! Well deserved as it looked and tasted incredible
Our first time visiting and we were in cloud 9 from this amazing experience!! Very stoked to be able to try their WOAP dessert 'The Egg '. Presentation has already blew my mind when I laid eyes on it in the cabinet. The girl serving us was really lovely and explained to us the different components of this lovely piece of art. The passionfruit curd (yolk) is tart with a smooth texture, the coconut mousse (white) is creamy and of course chocolate (shell)! Adding on is the crispness of the Kaitaifi, the flavourful hazelnut sponge cake and in the centre is the mango banana coulis. Its just a big sweet bomb of perfection! We also ordered Choux, which is a dark chocolate and Bailey cake. It was also very delicious, can 't go wrong with it The ambience was lovely and quiet, nice soothing music. Totally digging their plateware too The Egg is a bit of a pricey side but it 's all worth it, I wouldn 't expect any less. The other cakes are at a good price though and I would definitely come back to try more of it. P
I have been to Grace's a couple of times now and both times I have been thrilled by the sight of their beautiful dessert cakes. They are all a work of art and so yummy and enjoyable!! The restaurant is so beautiful!! Andrew and Mariah are also so friendly and welcoming hosts. Looking forward to another decadent cake session there again soon!!
This has to be one of my favourite place for dessert in Wellington. I will definitely visit again when I have the chance to! I tried Choux which was a combination of dark chocolate baileys. Perfection. Also tried out their macaroons and I was very pleased with the flavors earl grey and rose. Service was great and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the Patisserie.
