We stopped by on our way to Kentucky. The food was pure vegetarian, which I am. Enjoyed Idly and Vada with Sambar, which was delicious. Made sure to stop by for lunch buffet on our way back to Detroit. The buffet was very good.

Amma’s Kitchen has consistently been our favorite buffet for Indian cuisine. They primarily focus on vegan and vegetarian options, offering a wide variety of choices for vegans. One of the great features of their buffet is the ability to order some dishes from the kitchen that aren't included in the buffet, though the portions are typically smaller, which is reasonable. The quality of the food is excellent, with several plant-based protein options, an array of breads, soups, and many condiments. The only downside is that the buffet menu doesn’t change very often, but we still make the trip from Dayton, Ohio several times a year to enjoy it. I highly recommend arriving when they open, as it can get quite busy, and the buffet area is smaller compared to typical American buffets. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming to people from all cultural backgrounds.

The food was excellent, but the service has really declined lately. I visit this restaurant often and always leave a tip, even though it’s a buffet. I ordered a dosa when I arrived, but I noticed that tables around us, who came in after us, received their dishes first. We felt ignored as the staff passed by; they didn’t acknowledge us at all and seemed to be smiling and chatting with other customers. After sitting for 30 minutes without my dosa, it was quite frustrating.
