Island Frydays - Cincinnati

This place is fantastic! I've been searching for a good spot for plantains and have tried several, but this is the best I've had. I also ordered the brown roasted chicken, Ruck Chicken Pasta, and pineapple sweet tea, and they were all excellent. Even the little details mattered—I've always asked for no ice in my drinks, and this was the first place that actually honored my request. I also finished the plantains and they filled the cup generously. Overall, a great experience!

Oh my goodness, the Jerk chicken is amazing—definitely the best chicken I've ever had! The fries are lightly seasoned and absolutely fantastic without needing any extra spices. Their juices are out of this world; I highly recommend the ginger fruit blend if you're a fan of ginger, as well as the strawberry lemonade.

Wow! I ordered the traditional Ruck chicken dinner with rice and peas, and Ruck fries. The chicken was juicy and packed with smoky flavor! The rice and peas, accompanied by a flavorful gravy, were delicious as well. The Ruck fries were just average; they could definitely use some improvement. The staff was friendly, and the prices were reasonable.

MY FAVORITE SPOT. I lived in the Jamaican landscape in college. This is the best Jamaican I had outside Jamaica. I 100% recommend everything you can get here. It is authentic and delicious. It can't be beaten.

This place is a treasure, it's no wonder Guy Fieri paid this place a visit. The meat in my wrap was so juicy and tender while being perfectly seasoned. The jerk had a very pleasant, light spice to it. The rice was perfectly seasoned as well, it was all delicious. The pineapple sweet tea is also great. Overall just a great spot.
