The Tavern Huhn had some tasty dishes, but I was let down by the hot shiny. I expected it to be served warm, but it arrived cold and drenched in vinegar sauce. The fish log, however, was very good—thick and meaty with a light crust. Just be prepared to wait about 25 minutes for it, as the waitress mentioned it's due to the thickness. The fries were average, but the fresh house fries were quite enjoyable. Although the meal was a bit pricey, it was overall a nice and relaxed place to dine.
I went there with a group of colleagues and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was great, and the view of the sea was magnificent. I imagine it will be even better in early spring when it's not so cold. Our waitress was fantastic and quickly accommodated us when we requested a different table. The food was excellent, making it difficult to choose from the menu because there were so many delicious options at reasonable prices. Overall, we enjoyed our time there despite the noise—it was truly a great dining experience!
Lake Nina is a hidden gem that has been around for over 60 years. It's famous for its Fish Log and Fried Chicken. We tried the Pretzels and Cheese, and they were excellent—crispy and delicious.
This was my third visit to Lake Nina, and I enjoyed the lunch specials, each paired with two side options for just $9.99. They also offer small mini portion dinners, which come with two sides as well, priced at $10.99. The view is absolutely stunning!
