Temple Garden - Citrus Heights

Temple Garden is the best Chinese restaurant in Citrus Heights. Their food is always freshly done for every dish on the menu. Instead of Walnut Shrimp that is 90% batter theirs is so lightly done the whole large shrimp is seen through it. They use fresh vegetables like whole mushrooms and zucchini and always cooked to perfection. This is definitely a five Chinese Restaurant.

Satay Beef Chow Fun was too salty, it's all I tasted, noodles were not cow mein like, were too big and over cooked. Chow Fun is bigger noodles, but these were closer to small lasagna status. Rice and Egg Flower Soup were great.

The Hot and Sour soup is very good, flavorful and spicy and full of eggs, tofu and mushrooms. This has replaced my previous long-time favorite takeout Hot and Sour soup.

I am always amazed the food is alway the same deliciousness each time I ordered (wor Wor Wonton Soup, Chicken with Mixed Vegetables , and Szechuan chicken. Every additional requests also meet my expectations. They also packaged their food securely. I appreciate their quality in their foods. Since Covid it has been hard with standards of food qualities. Thank you and you are my go to!!

Inedible! I ordered the Mixed Vegetables Egg Foo Young and when it arrived it was a disgusting pile of dried out vegetables and what looked like deep fried egg particles. The sauce was super salty and I ended up throwing it all away. Will never order from this place again! Totally gross!
