677 Prime - City of Albany

I knew that the Prime was expensive, but my bill was over $600 for four people. We ordered the seafood tower (which is overprized for what you get, but looks pretty), 3 steaks, the seabass, two sides and a cake for dessert. There were no alcoholic beverages purchased. If the food was amazing, I could maybe justify that cost; however, it was just okay. I do not recommend.

From the olive drizzled bread to the porterhouse for 2 everything was perfect. Nick served us with ease and was knowledgeable about the menu and even the oven used to make our rare steak so great.

My wife and I enjoyed a meal at 677 Prime that I would describe as an unparalleled dining experience. Our server Joe was a consummate professional while maintaining a friendly, affable demeanor and was exceptionally knowledgeable about all aspects of the dining experience. Though he was our main server, it was very clear that the rest of the staff was equally skilled and passionate about providing memorable, skillful service. The dining room was overseen by the manager Jessica, who made a point to check in with patrons throughout the evening and clearly takes pride in the skill and professionalism of her employees. The kitchen staff is no less skilled than their front of house counterparts, as all of the food served was delicious, cooked with expertise and seasoned to perfection. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to treat themselves to a dining experience of the highest caliber, and my wife and I eagerly await our next visit!

We took my brother inlaw and his wife for dinner. I was bragging to them all week that we were taking them for a special dinner to a great restaurant. The experience was not as good as the past. Our waiter was very attentive. The appetizers were great. Our entrees were a mixed bag. My wife liked her scallops and my sister-in-law really like her fish. My brother-in-law order the chicken and it was dry. My $85 ribeye needed seasoning and was bland, I had to ask for salt. I should have sent back but always feel uncomfortable doing that unless under or overcooked. MAybe was just an off night, however a $400 meal should be spot on. 677 has been a favorite of mine for sometime and now has lost the luster for me.

Fantastic meal. Every recommendation that our amazing server Jeana gave us was right on. Delicious and beautifully presented. Everyone was attentive especially the manager and Jeana. It was the perfect beginning to an extraordinary evening. Superior experience. And seeing Bonnie at the Palace, just down the street was outstanding. A perfect evening.
