Café Capriccio - City of Albany

Hidden gem of a place. Service was outstanding and the food was delicious! From the wine to focaccia bread, salad, fresh pasta chicken/eggplant cutlets. Limoncello cake to end it was phenomenal! We will definitely be back!

Been dining at Capriccio for over 30 years, probably 4 times a year. This time, only outside seating was open in OpenTable even though the dining room had plenty of availability. The waitress never put in my wife's order so it was at least 15 minutes late. The waitress tried being overly familiar with us even though we've never met her just because other staff knew who we were asking one of us if he worked there in the past just because she didn't understand how the main waiter assigned to our table knew him. And we never saw the main waiter again and just had what I'll call a trainee. Just not the class that Capriccio was known for. It will be a while before I go back. Used to be 5 stars. For last night, I gave it a 3.

From the moment we walked in to the moment we left everything was great. Our table for six was ready waiting for us , food superb, waitress excellent the whole night was a delight.

Lovely restaurant in a neighborhood that has seen better days but this classic restaurant has survived intact . Great food and service in an old school Italian setting. Not far from the Capital but if going at night consider taking an Uber. Overall a great night out.

We had an anniversary party here yesterday and there was not one thing we could rate below excellent. The food was above fabulous and there was plenty of it! The staff took such good care of us!! And Jim Rua took great care to see that we were happy, overseeing everything. No wonder they have been around for almost 50 years!!
