The atmosphere is very farm house quaint and the open kitchen is so fun to watch! We enjoyed the food and service immensely- definitely give Rose Tavern a try!
First time eating here but have eaten at the Sand Bar a bunch. Jeffrey our waiter was great, beef tartare awesome (shaved truffles on top make it), tuna nicoise meh, lobster risotto great, and lamb bolognese awesome. Good wine list but kinda overpriced. Prisoner for $180? Dude, Constellation literally owns the winery and they're charging THAT much? Anyway, it was a very good experience.
Went for brunch on a Sunday. The menu online was different than what they had. The cost of brunch per person turned out to be $52 per person. I was very hesitant to go in;; however, my date was ok with the upgraded price. The offerings were plenty and the presentation was beautiful. Everything that was supposed to be hot (sausage, bacon, eggs, potatoes, etc) was luke warm … worrisome in my opinion. I could not eat any of the buffet offerings that were intended to be hot. We told the server that the food was not hot. “Sorry”. Really? The main dish that I ordered was a “brunch sandwich”. Mind you, this was a $52 per personBrunch. So far, none of the (hot) food at the buffet was edible. When my brunch sandwich arrived, (a steak sandwich), the steak was virtually rare, cold, and rubbery. I told the server that I could not eat it as it was so undercooked. She took the plate away and apologized. She came back and told me that they were going to remake my sandwich. She returned after several minutes with another brunch sandwich. It was againUndercooked and rubbery. I took one bite and told the server that I could not eat it. So, for $52 I had two bacon strips at room temperature, one mimosa, and two very small pastries. The manager came over to talk with us. Rather than comping my meal, she decided that 25% off per meal was reasonable. Seriously? Wow. To not comp a disaster of a meal is beyond my comprehension. So, bottom line… spend your $52 at a local Canandaigua restaurant that gives a “sh..t”.
Excellent! The food was outstanding from the appetizers, to the entree, and deserts. Great menu options. And service was top notch too. Highly recommend.
We stopped for breakfast here. The food was fresh and very flavorful. They have a little garden outside and the ingredients really shined in every dish. I got the hash and it was excellent. We also tried the bacon, stuffed French toast and a chocolate au pain. I ended up taking the pastry to go and had it the next morning, it was amazing!
