The drinks were fine, but the pork bun I ordered was small, fatty on the first bite, and quite pricey at $8. The pickles served in the bungalow were good, though. The restaurant felt rather cold and seemed to be heated by a small wood stove, which didn't help the atmosphere. Additionally, the bartender was rather unfriendly. Overall, I think Backbar is overrated and caters more to NYC clientele.
This is my very first review, but I felt it was important to share my experience because I was quite disappointed with BackBar during my late afternoon visit. The drinks were decent, but the Pork Bun I ordered was small, had a gristly first bite, and was overpriced at $8. The pickles in the bungalow were enjoyable, though. I found the restaurant to be rather cold, seemingly only warmed by a small wood stove. Additionally, the bartender's demeanor was unwelcoming as well. Overall, I believe that BackBar is overrated and caters primarily to customers from NYC.
