Contribuisci feedbackI’ve been told by my friend who live here several times within 5 days about the popularity of this Pho shop (not a restaurant to me) in Springvale. We finally arrived at the shop late afternoon. The Q up was about 10 minutes which was not so bad. Once we got inside, the authoritative old lady captain with a long face will put you in a tiny little table and you cannot simply move! In a short word, not comfortable seating at all. But that was OK for us because we come to experience the food not hospitality. We’ve order a medium “Pho Tai” (rare beef noodles) which an ideal choice and again the portion was good enough to share for 2 persons. To food connoisseurs, the key to the Vietnamese noodle soup is in the broth. Certainly, you can find that a broth soup is fragrant, flavorful and slightly sweet along with the smooth rice noodles, tender beef and bean sprout. We spent AUS$ 11 for a medium bowl of Pho. Happy Days.
Best pho I've tasted in a while. When it's busy you will need to wait outside for a table but not for long. Very generous serves.
Decided to review this restaurant as my last review was about 2 years ago.Well, The queue is longer but moves fairly quickly. The prices have gone up marginally to $12 for large down to $10 for small. The quality is still really good. The soup is still delicious with no trace of MSG. The beef was really tender and the rice noodles nice and smooth. The drinks are now $3 each which is fair.Still strongly recommend this restaurant especially since I recently returned from Sydney where none of the Vietnamese restaurants there could compare. By the way, do ask them to blanch the bean spouts as fresh ones could cool down the soup too quickly.Enjoy
This place seems to be getting a cult following. Pho is decent here and the table turnover is high so don't be put off by the crowd of people waiting out front. It only seats ~25 I'd say. Tiny space. So expect to be sharing tables during lunch rush. Broth tastes great. They pride themselves on supposed "no msg"??? Hard to believe but yeah I guess I wasn't thirsty afterwards. Soup is piping hot and full of flavour. Not high in aniseed. There's nothing I don't like here except for a lot of elbows touching.
Medium Chicken Pho (me) Medium Rare Beef Pho (he) Both hot and delicious, chilli sliced paper thin and hot as hell, all the sauces filled and the bottles clean. The Pho was delicious, great value, and there are 12 options on the menu. They serve 3 sizes. As we all have different "favourite" aspects of Pho, I find that comparing one style with another is not helpful. I just try and enjoy each bowl for what it offers.
