The staff seemed to be struggling due to a lack of employees, making it difficult for them to keep up with orders. I patiently waited to be served, only to be told that I would have to wait an additional 20 minutes for someone to even take my order, as the staff member was heading to the kitchen to cook. While I understand the challenges of being short-staffed, there is a way to communicate with customers that is respectful and professional. As a local, I was disappointed by the experience and do not plan on returning. The restaurant could benefit from better management and customer service training. Despite the service issues, the food is typically good once you are finally served.
This family-owned restaurant is a hidden gem. They serve delicious, tender meat alongside lemon-scented rice with barberries. The dishes are not greasy or heavy, but instead offer fresh flavors and generous portions. This is a restaurant for serious food lovers, run by skilled chefs.
I had a wonderful cappuccino at this café in the morning. The lady who served me was very helpful. The price for drinks was average at £3. There is also outdoor seating available, which is a nice spot to enjoy drinks or food.
£10 for a tuna mayonnaise sandwich which felt like I had eaten a whole jar of Hellmann's mayo and barely anything else! Food took ages to come and service was not friendly by any means. Maybe we just got unlucky, but would not recommend.
This place makes great fresh OJ and espresso and the feta cheese and spinach filo pastry and salad was pretty good, too. Spent a lovely evening learning how to play bridge better and being hosted by the lovely Rita from the deli who looked after us so well.
