Popped into this place last night to grab a coffee to kill some time before getting some food. Man behind the counter couldnt be bothered to actually serve and carried on farting about with the machine for 10 mins. Walked out.
5 stars for the staff, 1 star for management: you have to start actively pushing away the beggars as the situation is now out of control, at a rate of at least 1 every ten minutes who absolutely urge you to stop what you are doing and give them their attention otherwise they’ll reach with their hands in your eyes. God forbid thinking what could happen if a customer after being harassed so many times by these people looking for money for their next drug fix lose their temper and tell them something rude. If you think that having a coffee without being harassed every ten minutes should be a luxury you’re wrong as I won’t hang around there anymore, who cares going to Soho anymore really. You have to help fixing this and I don’t care about any excuse you would pull not to do so.
So Caffe Nero OCS has now descended from ‘go too social spot’ to ‘bad attitude #Balansisbetter’. I went there this afternoon and simply asked for a mug of tea to be told that they don’t give mugs/cups for tea anymore! YET they clearly DO give them for coffee! Not good enough! And REALLY BAD BUSINESS. THIS IS ENGLAND and most of us TEA drinkers hate paper or plastic cups. Worse .. the new guy at the till is clearly incapable of getting ANY order right first time and the guy making the coffee looked at me as if I’d asked for his bank account details. Three words for you guys .. take notice! BALANS SOHO SOCIETY (photo of what a quality establishment right across the street provides)
Terrible, inattentive staff who move at a snail’s pace. They make no eye contact, grunt replies and cannot remember who has ordered. Customers have to clear there own tables before sitting. Used to be okay but gone downhill lately.
